Description
The Markhamia Lutea, or Nile Tulip, is a fast-growing, upright evergreen tree reaching 10-15 meters tall, characterized by its light brown, fissured bark, and pinnate leaves. It’s known for its striking trumpet-shaped, bright yellow flowers with orange-red stripes inside, arranged in clusters. The tree produces long, slender, spiraling pods containing flat, winged seeds. Valued for its termite-resistant timber and medicinal uses, it also serves as an ornamental, shade, and windbreak tree.
