Description
A Casuarina tree, also known as a She-oak, is an evergreen tree characterized by its needle-like, drooping branchlets that resemble pine needles, and tiny, scale-like true leaves arranged in whorls on these branchlets. It typically grows to be a tall tree with a straight trunk, grey-brown, fissured bark, and a finely branched crown that can flatten with age. The plant bears small, inconspicuous male flower spikes and small, cone-like female structures containing winged seeds.
